Not sure how to interpret these reviews. Had nothing but outstanding American Express customer service. Virtually instantaneous responses were given to calls and online chats. Never pass around, as other companies tend to do, and always get through to someone who can help first time too. Additionally, settle disagreements amicably; once I complained, a chargeback was accomplished in 48 hours!

I'm sorry to hear that so many others have experienced problems with Amex because I've always had good luck with them. I'm in Great Britain. Recently, I struggled for more than a month to get a refund from a shop. However, Amex solved my problem in minutes with no questions asked by using the app's chat feature, which eliminated the need for long phone waits. Their chat feature, which is accessible on the UK app, has always been good in my experience. It answers my questions completely and responds quickly. I wish this level of service was experienced by all Amex users, as it’s what keeps me with this card.
