I spoke with Michael de Oliveira over the phone, and I must say that he is a wonderful example of what humanity ought to be. Excellent product knowledge, great phone manners, and empathy throughout; all of my worries were addressed, and information that I was unaware of was given. She is a great person and an amazing worker. Many thanks, Michael. You should get a raise.
My dad passed away not too long ago. After I informed the TV licencing team of this, they issued me a check to cover the cost of the TV license. The check was made out to the executor and not in my name, so I wasn't sure if my bank would accept it and deposit it into my account. I didn't have to worry. In order to verify my eligibility, I pulled out the death certificate and gave my local branch a call. The personnel were exceptional, incredibly understanding of my predicament, and incredibly kind and helpful. They took the check with ease and, without any trouble or inquiries, deposited it into my account. A strong argument against branch closures!
