I have nothing but praise for the wonderful woman (whom I will always refer to as Karen) who helped me secure my stepfather a guaranteed pension credit when his long-term companion passed away. Karen processed his claim and verified his eligibility for a council tax rebate and other benefits, doing all within her power to help. She is a very beautiful woman. She even gave him a call to check on the success of his move. a tremendous benefit to DWP. I'm grateful.
The DWP's bereavement assistance is excellent. The phone call took me only five minutes to complete, and I received excellent customer service. I have nothing but admiration for the gentleman I spoke with; he was incredibly helpful and understanding, and he put no roadblocks in my way. They could teach the rest of the DWP a thing or two!
This is a joke of a government institution with no care for the elderly disabled or veterans there taking £48.61p a week from my state pension and they cant tell me why or to whom all they say is they can't stop it its a absolute disgrace
