I sympathise with the other reviewer because I am having the same issue with hot point concerning a washer-dryer. Brand new item which stopped working 1 month after purchase. Almost a month after it was “fixed” it broke down again with same problem. Last call out I told hotpoint I don’t want the machine. This was towards end of January and hotpoint has not contacted me back. They said approval takes 3-5 working days. That was Jan 27th 2024. No reply from Hotpoint and I have been calling every few days. Supervisor Naveed was supposed to call me back but still no reply from anyone. Had to go out and buy new washer . Still no one has collected the faulty machine from my flat.
I have a Hotpoint dryer I bout over 15years ago and it is still going. The difference is that I bought it from Curry’s who would have taken it back right away as a faulty item. This one I bought from Hotpoint and the customer care service is absolutely appalling.
My suggestions to everyone out there is DO NOT BUY HOTPOINT PRODUCTS!!!! ( Especially if you are buying it directly from Hotpoint).
Also, please ask about any returns terms and conditions before buying the product, and get it in BLACK& WHITE.
I have never felt so humiliated and incognisant as a customer as Hotpoint has made me feel.
I think I will refer them to TRADING STANDARDS ASAP before more people are burnt like we are!

Excellent service all the way through! It's nice to have my washing machine back in working order without having to buy a new one, but Mark, our amazing engineer, fixed it once more. I'm grateful. 🙏

When my dishwasher's controller cracked, Hotpoint provided excellent assistance; it was also covered by their accidental damage insurance. I was able to schedule a time that worked for me. The engineer replaced the part quickly that same day and carried any trash with him. He kept me updated on his arrival times.

Appealing customer care. Have basically called me a liar. Saying nothing is wrong with dryer because saying no faults. All I know is a dryer is supposed to dry clothes and the clothes in this dryer are coming out as damp as they went in. Had 3 engineers out one even saw how damp the clothes were. Phoned office said he doesn’t know what part to replace as saying no fault but obviously is a fault. He said needs it replacing or need to replace all parts. Basically said no it’s because customer doesn’t like it. Why would I not like a dryer if it worked properly. This has been going on months now. Numerous calls everyday. All they say is it need 3 fixes within 12 months. How can it be fixed when he doesn’t know what part to replace. I would really go to all this trouble stress anxiety and upset if dryer did what it was supposed to do. Hotpoint have lost a loyal customer of over 20 years. On top of this stress you have caused me to be ill I have had drs visits I am getting over breast cancer which I had to have a double mastectomy chemotherapy radiotherapy and months of injections. I have also a 7 year old foster boy who has continence problems. I will have to find funds to buy a new dryer. I can’t go on like this. Customer aftercare is the worst I have ever come across
