In addition to frequently shopping there, I volunteer at the Oxfam store. Oxfam strives to do good in the world with every last penny they earn. The operations budget is extremely minimal, and all of the shops are entirely staffed by unpaid volunteers, so you can be sure that Oxfam is helping people in need with your donation or support. The large number of negative customer reviews surprises me. Please keep in mind that this is a charity and that a lot of things go wrong because there aren't regular full-time employees. Please be patient and keep in mind that in addition to getting great prices when you shop at Oxfam, you are also helping defenceless moms and hungry and ill children. Show kindness.
Hello everyone, I just wanted to say to everyone who is currently reviewing Oxfam, what? How are you all doing? You're furious with them for being involved in politics, even though they're an anti-poverty charity? Do you realise how absurd that is? Politics and poverty are inextricably linked problems that cannot be separated.
Critical Race Theory is only a critical examination of how racism and race are reflected in legislation and governance; it has nothing to do with being anti-White. Grow up, people. Oxfam does fantastic work, but you all act like toddlers because they are endorsing a theoretical notion about which you know nothing other than sensationalised media reports.
Searching websites, it took me sometime to find one which gave me Oxfams UK based telephone number. I nearly decided to abort my search and look to another charity to contact. In the event, I found this site .It then gives an incorrrect telephone number for you. I now understand that the site has probably been put together by your USA office; can you not do this yourselves in the UK ? That way you may find you are including data on the site which is more helpful to UK viewers.
Anyway, I have a £1000 donation to send to you to be used for Covid in India. I will put it in the post but are nervous using Oxfam in future given it is not the UK charity I thought it was.
