Our family is in mourning. The funeral of a member of the family took place on 26 July 2023. The postman came to deliver the mail at 1520hrs on 27 July 2023. He delivered an envelope not intended for this address. I called him back immediately to collect it so it could be delivered to the correct address. The postman came bursting onto the property ranting and raving and running his mouth and behaved in a very aggressive manner and he was told to leave the property in no uncertain terms because of his behaviour. Never seen this particular postman before, the postal staff previously have always been exemplary in their conduct and professionalism. Perhaps he was just having a bad day but this does not excuse his aggressive behaviour at the most inappropriate time imaginable.

why has the post office got worse over the last few months

Royal Mail have decided to delay delivery of mail to my village by up to a week because they don’t
want to deliver here. I had to go to the local sorting office and collect a bundle of letters. Royal Mail are meant to deliver everyday but regularly don’t bother turning up. I have heard disgruntled posties are are re-posting letters they can’t be bothered to deliver. What on earth is happening to this company??
Deliberately delaying or interfering with the mail is a criminal offence - so how do Royal Mail get away with it

Royal Mail are not honouring their postage timescales and it is causing problems. If a letter is posted on 5th of a month it is not reasonable to receive it on the 17th of the month! We are not receiving our post when required but seem to be receiving a big bundle fortnightly......not the service I've agreed to or am paying for. RM will put themselves out of business if this continues as we will all start sending important information and appointment dates via email only. Much more reliable.

by Can not contact a human at Royal mail ridiculous!!

Pity can not give a zero rating or less.
Spent 2 days trying to find a way to contact Royal mail to try and find documents they have lost!!
Told 20 minute waiting list everytime I telephone, and then get cut off.
The emai address bounces back saying they are no longer monitoring that e mail address, but they do not give another e mail.
No one answers on Twitter. And no one on Facebook messenger either.
I can no longer just ring my local sorting office which would be ideal.
And we have no Post office in the village to ask for info.
Funny how Royal mail is supposed to promote correspondence, and goes on about keeping in touch!!
Waste of space nowadays!!

As a 500+ year old business, one might expect a company with Royal Ascent to deliver on their promises, alas the current executive "team" are more interested in delivering shareholder dividends than customer letters and parcels (which pay for the dividends). Simon Thompson should never have been installed as CEO - his appalling track record (including 3 months at Track and Trace, wasting billions of tax payer money) sould have been sufficient evidence of his inability to manage a substantial company. His mantra of "our business to run" is a joke, as was his performance at the BEIS Select Committee, requiring a second session under oath as he constantly lied to MPs.

The Universal Service Obligation (requirement to deliver letters and parcels at a universal price across the UK) is being deliberatly failed every single day and now the Communication Workers Union appear to have done some shady deal that ensures their future at the expense fo their membership.

The company needs an overhaul if it is to succeed. Removal of the current board and revised agreement with CWU is a must or this well loved national institution will be left to rot and fail into history.

Shocking company. Terrible management. Excellent frontline staff that deserve to be treated fairly and without fear of reprisal.

Lost parcel numerous calls and emails sent claim form in but seams to have got lost in post now told too late to claim !!!!!

Royal mail only redirected mail under one name for the last year, two names paid for. Do not wish to give a one star rating even. Do not book redirection online, speak to someone directly to hopefully ensure you will get the service paid for. Appalled.!

How strange. I sent a review end this February regarding Slough RM that has disappeared. Could it be because it was the second time I had to complain that post was being left hanging out of my post box for anyone to take. I stated had been extremely happy with my post woman for 4 years, but you are now employing vacancy staff who are not invested in doing a proper job.

Posted a 'signed for' parcel on 28/11/22 it was delivered back to us 12/12/22, RM delivered to the sender not the recipient! Our neighbor signed for it so it is showing as 'signed for'. Raised a claim and posted at local post office but never had a response. RM now say they have no record and we have to complete another claim despite my having sent copies of all correspondence.
