Argos is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. After trying to cancel an order for a crockpot because it was to small for my requirements. They refused to refund me because the box had been opened. This is against the statute law of ( The consumer contracts information cancellation and additional charges regulations2013). Their customer services line is only there to obstruct you. After repeated emails and phone calls, I am now taking my case to the small claims court. These charlatan companies should not be allowed to evade my and everyone's legal rights. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Watch when you buy Tu from Argos if you change your mind they take £3.50 if you return the goods. I did not know that. I bought something for my wee grandson when I took it out the delivery bag looked at it and realised it was to small, never took it the original package and posted right back. Then got email saying I have only got a £1.00. They say it is on the packing note twice but I really think or Tu should tell you that before you buy. I was so disappointed will never buy again. The answer I got was only Tu not argos as they have a different warehouse. You don't know if it will fit a baby or not until you buy it.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
(I only gave it that because I could not leave a review without it)

Not only do they mis-sell products but it seems that they have no concept of your consumer rights, which apparently do not apply to them.

I purchase an 'Extra warm' duvet, which according to the manufacturer's website weighs in at a comfortable 4kgs and this formed my decision to buy. Having unpacked this 'thing', I became aware of how light it actually was. I repacked it and stuck it on the scales. at Just over 3.1kg (25% less filling that I actually paid for). I was not a happy bunny, but little did I know of how bad things were about to get!

Duvet in hand, I returned to the Bishop Auckland store and was greeted by s Russel Brand look-alike who seemed to have a problem with what I told him, so enter Julie. the manager.

Again, I explained my issue with 'Julie (with attitude), who stated they could not take it back because I had opened it and they could not re-sell it because the bag was not sealed.

Have you ever tried explaining to a total moron, that:
A) Had I not opened it, I would not have noticed that there was a problem
B) As this bag was factory sealed, I could not replicate this,
C)They had no right selling something that is not as claimed
D) THE ARGOS refunds and returns state that my Consumer rights stand
E) Why in the name of God would you want to re-sell something you know is not right rather than return it to the supplier as faulty?
To add insult to injury, I stood my ground at which point, a 64-year-old disabled woman, with a crutch was escorted through the length of Sainsbury's and out of the store by security.
contacted the contact center and spoke to a very young boy who mentioned several times that it was nearly time to go home. He was at a loss as to what my issue was said someone would contact me (needless to say, this never happened) and when I asked for a contact number to escalate to, he told me to contact Widness. (should have been Milton Keynes).

I found an email address for a Mark Coupe, CEO, but my messages bounced back due to the mailbox being full. In this event, he has left the company some time ago and they could not even be bothered to update the details.

Not to be deterred, I have since tried online chat, as soon as I got Michelle and mentioned complaints, the conversation was terminated.

I am still stuck with a worthless duvet, would still like to buy the right one, but not from them. Sadly my long and comfortable relationship with Sainburys has come to a sad end, but if they want to choose that level of bed-fellows, I want none of my money going towards the wages of Julie.

Rubbish service

Online description does not match product I got a ipad pro 11 did not mention it was 2018 version which if I had known would have got from Amazon JLP or currys PC world as much cheaper, Ripped off by Argos and customer service would do nothing, just claimed will up date website nothing more

Customer Service Manager Anna very unhelpful understood my issue but would do nothing as not in policy and procedures.

I now have an ipad two years old for price of a 2020, not happy.

Only know it is 2018 when you begin up loads to start off with, so now will not take back or discount. RIP OFF ARGOS

Disgraceful service

I will be shouting about this disgusting service in every possible way so no one else gets ripped off by these guys and had to listen to the likes of Anna doing nothing

Poor after care service

I bought a 3 seater leather sofa in March 20-- it is structurally damaged.

I am unable to contact any ARGOS department to sort this out.

Have been passed from pillar to post,, cut off from Web chat - contacted the customer services numerous times, told to make a claim on Castellan Insurance, was informed by them it is for ARGOS to sort out as the sofa is less that 6 months old, contacted " Customer services" again by web chat, then palmed off again and told then the account is in husbands name, however refused to provide me with a functioning contact number for my husband to give permission to discuss with me. Explained my husband not computer savvy - he is in his 70's, totally ignored. In the meantime have a sofa that is not fit for purpose at all, I want rid. Will sort legal advise now, as ARGOS are breaching the Consumer Rights Act 2015

I don't even want to leave one star but seems I have no choice!

Absolute nightmare dealing with them over the collection of some furniture. Customer service agent booked one item to be collected but there was two. I arranged for Star bed and drawers to be collected and she arranged for Bed with Drawer to be collected! Delivery driver took both items but have been refunded for one. Got straight onto live chat that day, the lady advised she would contact the transport dept immediately and a refund would be arranged. Since then, no refund and apparently the lady contacted no one.

Live chat so unhelpful and rude. Now in midst of taking this further A lot of stress.

What is going on with Argos customer service. Trying for 2 days just goes dead on phone or cuts you off. Live chat dead as well. Helping Vulnerable Customers Rubbish!!!

Argos Customer Service or complete lack of it is shocking. It is impossible to speak with anyone , they take now responsibility but of course are very happy to take your money.

What a complete micky mouse operation argos run. Expecting delivery of a settee and two matching chairs and have one item delivered that is incorrect and so missing one chair. Immediately rang the delivery team back after they had gone which was about 10 minutes maximum and explained the error to be told that it was not their problem and would need to ring the 0345 640 2020 number. Spoke to lady who was very apologetic and who rang the team to come and collect the misdelivered item but was apparently told they were now on a highway where they could not turn around. The nearest highway of this type is an hour away. Advised by the lady next availability was now 5 days away so we will have to store the incorrect item and await delivery of our ordered item. I explained this was not acceptable as there is no room to store and we are expecting guests over the weekend and that they should arrange a swap over the next day as it was their mistake. Ended up with a manager named keiran who also insisted there was nothing to be done. I suggested either a hire van or other courier as i really needed the furniture i ordered and removal of the unwanted piece. but I am still having to wait for them to correct their mistake until next wednesday. No idea of customer relations or problem solving or any intention of putting themselves or their company out. Thanx argos hope you all have a great weekend whilst i babysit your incorrectly delivered furniture and my family have to sit on the floor!!! How much is storage these days?

PS a rating is required, sadly i have to rate you at least 1 star, so wrong
