Filthy home delivery baskets!

I, and it transpires others were intimidated by two aggressive men collecting for 'homeless ex servicemen' in your store in Banstead, Surrey on Tuesday 9th May. I went to speak with one of the staff since I was under the impression that, other than the British Legion, persons collecting for charities were not allowed to stand inside the actual premises and that collectors are not allowed to harass the customers n this manner.
I was informed that Waitrose now have a strict policy of vetting potential charity collections and so these men did in fact have the manager's permission to be there. However their manner was very confrontational and I was made to feel very uncomfortable . I support the charities I choose to and as a consequence I feel very reluctant to go into your store again if this kind of thing is to be repeated. I have several other stores in the High Street which do not allow this behaviour - and I await your response please.

Don’t rate it at all. Had to call police the other nite because the lady grabbed me round the throat waiting on police getting back to me

Atrocious service & disrespectful treatment of customers. As per the requirements of Challenge 25, Waitrose delivery service refuse delivery of age restricted products (like tobacco) without proof of age (i.e. the customer is over 18), which they instruct their delivery drivers to ascertain by seeing the customer's face. At the height of the pandemic this condition was dropped, only to be reintroduced recently. The driver I had to deal with was rude and, although I am over 65, claimed that he could not be sure that I was over 18 by seeing my face and talking to me through my open window. The driver refused to deliver my shopping unless I showed my face to him through the open door, not through the open window. (!!?) I have received home deliveries from Waitrose for two years without problems and paid by credit card (which itself is not issued to people under 18). I emailed a complaint to Waitrose, but the Customer Care staff was unapologetic and basically stated it was up to the driver to guess the age of the customer. There was no response as to what one should do when the driver acts rudely and unreasonably/illogically. I wouldn't recommend Waitrose to anyone. They treat customers with contempt.

Absolutely disgusted that managers and front line staff at our Waitrose in Cirencester are not wearing masks. It was like walking into Home Bargains instead of an up market store. Most of the customers were showing respect for others by wearing masks. Shame on you Waitrose. I will go elsewhere where customers are shown respect.

I had a delivery which included a Yule Log which was out of date. I mailed customer services attaching 3 images from my iphone and got a mail back saying they couldn't open the images. I copied and pasted the images into a word document for them but then heard back that they could not open the document. I have checked by mailing them to my brother who had no difficulty opening both formats. A company whose staff are unable to effect the opening of an iphone image or a microsoft word document should be ashamed of itself. I thought Waitrose was a premier operation. They seem to employ dimwits and I shall get future xmas requirements from Fortnum's, Harvey Nicholls et el.

I appreciate you are busy but I cannot get on the website to amend an order with a deadline of midday today and I've been trying now for at least an hour. I can occasionally get on for a minute or not get any response. I've tried the the local branch (very helpful as usual) 0800 188881 and 188884 with the same recorded message every time and disconnected. This is abysmal 'service' and will start using Ocada
