Very poor service

I ordered, and paid for decking and fence panels on line on

Monday to receive an email informing me my order would be delivered on Wednesday £30 delivery charge

No delivered. After a phone call on Wednesday and again Thursday morning I was assured my order would be delivered on Friday

Later on Thursday I received an email informing me that I had returned the decking part of my order and I had received a refund.

When I called, again, I was informed the decking was out of stock.

I cancelled the 5 fence panels that were still due to be delivered on Friday as I was not prepared to pay £30 cost of delivery, then have to pay another delivery charge to another company to deliver the decking which I will have to purchase from them.

I requested a full refund and hope to receive it as quickly as I paid them when I ordered the goods.

Unfortunately this poor, unprofessional, service has resulted in losing a loyal customer, and if this happens to others I'm sure they'll lose a lot more custom.

Extremely disappointed with your company.

Order placed a month back, parts of it delivered in 2 lots.

No good as the dining tableset is still awaited.

Tried calling, an hour on hold, no response.

Sent emails, no response on the last one.

One email was replied to, they say they are not sure where the order is?

How does a company run like that?

Ordered our kitchen on the 12/7/2020, noticed the day after our delivery address was wrong after telling the kitchen designer we needed it at a different address. Called as soon as I noticed and was reassured everything was changed. 1 week later we call hoover/candy to arrange delivery for our appliances to be told that isn’t the address they have and they can not change it, to contact B&Q and they will have to do it, 4 WEEKS! Of calls and 2 trips into store to change an address and then to be told the tap we bought is now out of stock we now had a choice of 3 that were available!

Called hoover/candy again to arrange delivery to be told our appliances were delivered in may... we bought the kitchen in July. Phoned B&Q and again assured that everything was sorted and all will be delivered on the 27th. Fast forward to delivery day and unsurprisingly they turn up at the old address! Another call to the store to get them to come 4 miles down the road. Only for them to unload the kitchen missing 2 appliances and a few other bits that we then had a phone call from customer services to say are out of stock!

Surely when you purchase something it should be picked for your order not out of stock by the time they deliver it!

Another call to B&Q about missing appliances assured they were coming by 6pm, surprise surprise no one turned up! Yet another call to them and was told someone would call me back... nothing. Called again in the morning told again someone will call me back... nothing. ANOTHER call to them and finally someone spoke to me, didn’t know where the appliances were, told they would call me back. 3 hours later a phone call to say hoover/candy have been trying to call, absolute nonsense I’ve been sat at home the last 2 days loosing money! Appliances now meant to be coming 2/9/2020 when I told the lady on the phone this is not good enough we ordered this kitchen 2 months ago we have an 8 year old here with no fully working kitchen I was told ‘it’s only a few more days’

AWEFUL customer service! No one is taking responsibility for any mistakes that have clearly been made! Now having to take another day off work to sit in for appliances I’m not 100% sure will even turn up and B&Q can’t even give an apology. Not good enough for spending £7K on a kitchen. Never will we purchase from B&Q again and neither will family or friends.

The day before my father died I rang 'customer services' regarding an order that he had placed. All I wanted to know was when the delivery date was.

The first person I spoke to told me to 'hang up, ring back and speak to somebody else' when they refused to help me.

The second person would also not give me any information on the delivery date, but said they would seek advice from a supervisor and call me back. They took my phone number on 20/07/20, it's now 29/8/20 and I'm still waiting for the call back!



My father died the day after I made the first phone call, 21/07/20.



Since then I have sent multiple emails, a copy of the death certificate, more emails, so much frustration and needless stress!



They then conceded that my father is in fact deceased, doesn't need the wardrobe that they have been emailing and texting him about the whole time!? BUT!!! But then they try to refund a dead mans bank account?! How stupid are you people???



I sincerely hope these reviews go straight to the top, because I'm so close to going to citizens advice, the media and taking to social media!



Your customer service is an absolute joke!

On visiting paisly store today, I asked if if could get some wood cut, I was told I would need to buy a saw and go out side and cut it. So bad, as I was clearly disabled and had a walker. The wood would never have fitted in my car. After forty years of shopping at B&Q, I now will be looking for another supplier of all the things they stock. To tell a disabled person to buy a saw and go outside is bad?

My wife purchased two small shelves from your Wisbech store while visiting a friend . On returning home two days later she asked me to fit them . On examination there was no concealed fitting kit enclosed . She paid nearly thirteen pounds for these two small shelves. On even closer examination it did say in (very) small print that they weren't included . So I then had to go to our local B & Q at Glasshoughton , Castleford to purchase the appropriate kits , another twelve pounds odd bringing the total to roughly twenty five quid thank you very much . If I'd bought a fridge-freezer I wouldn't expect to have to pay extra to have some doors on it !!??! Without doors it would be every bit as useless as your shelves with no fitting kit ! I said someyears ago I would never use B & Q again after buying a walk-in shower that turned out to be an absolute pile of shoddiness . Now at long last my wife totally agrees with me...NEITHER of us will be setting foot in a lousy B & Q store ever again !

DO NOT PLACE ANY ORDERS, they take the order and don't contact you regarding delivery. When you call them you are on hold for hours, no one can tell you where the order is. No complaints department, the system is so poor I will never order from B & Q again.

I have been messed about by B&Q for months now. Have wasted 2 days of a weeks’ Holliday trying to get a set of drawers to fit, have been handed from pillar to post, have spent half a day on the phone and still no further forward. The attitude of this company stinks. Phones do not get answered technical assistance is not available and of coarse the very convenient Covid is the excuse. Wake up B&Q your reputation is rapidly going down the drain and you could find yourself struggling to survive after this is all over.
