I purchased 2 cans of garden furniture spray paint. After using the first can, I realised it wasn't worth the money or the effort. I had recently moved from an urban area to a bungalow and needed everything for the new home, which I bought at B&Q. I was in the store at LEAST once a week spending an a £100 minimum. The can had the B&Q label and was still sealed, however I was told they could not give me credit towards my purchase without a recepit. The cashier said I could have SHOPLIFTED it! I said I couldn't believe he just accused me of shoplifting and they could look at store video and see I had brought in in a bag. I asked to speak with the manager and, even though he recognised me, he said they weren't allowed under company policy. He abruptly walked off. People in the que were staring at us and making comments about the service. If I didn't need the custom paint and other items, I would have left it there. BTW, the customer assitant in the paint department told me they didn't carry Polyurathane and I could "probably find it on Amaazon". They don't sell sealer in a DIY store?! So much for customer service at the Worthing store.

I have to say the service I have received with b&q is beyond shocking , I purchased a chest of drawers in April, they came smashed into pieces , so they were returned and I wanted a refunded , as we are now approaching September I still haven’t received, I have rang more than 20 times , and am always been told it’s on the way to you , still haven’t received, customer service have now told me it is gone beyond their control, and gone to head office who are in contactable , I just want my money back , I am absolutely appalled by this , and I will never shop with b&q again , I am urging people think twice before you purchase something with any of their stores

All my years on retail management I have never see such horrendous treatment towards a customer, I would have issued instant dismissal if one of my colleagues treated a customer in the manner I was treated and threatened.

I first placed an order on the 27th July, was given three delivery dates and nobody turned up, I cancelled said order, then had to place another order online because nobody has it in stock! 2nd order was 1x500 cabinet door, 5 x400 doors and 1 x 300 cabinet door. It arrived today only problem there are 6 x 300 doors! I've escalated my complaint, but I'm still none the wiser what is going to happen. Your customer service team are useless when your order concerns Delivery. Every delivery company B &Q use are uncontactable, utterly disgusting! 🤬🤬

Disgusting customer service kitchen order wait 3 moths for the order to came turn out damge item things missing off the delivery still wait on new correct larder cabint to be sent out as the wrong has turned up and be build Disgusting got told by the delivered hope your house burn down with 15 moth baby in the house

I went shopping at Asda in Gravesend on Tuesday 15th August, We thought seeing as we were near to B&Q we would call round & pick up a few items we needed, we have a "2016 Toyota Hybrid car" I went in now whether the Air Con was left on or something else, when I got back to the car the 12v battery side was dead, I had jump leads, but was panicking somewhat as we had all the food shopping in the car with much of it "Frozen stuff" & it was a Hot day, I asked a van driver to give me a jump start, which he kindly tried to do, but with no success, I think B&Q security guard must have told his Manager, because the Manager suddenly appeared, Stranded are we he asked "afraid so" I said, I envisaged having to call out my Breakdown Guys, But how long would that take I thought, the food will be spoiled by then, but the Manager of B&Q said wait a minute I'll go get my car so he went to the other end of the car park & returned with his car, we Jump started my car successfully and away we went, I would just like to thank that Manager for his Kindness & trouble he is a true example of how to endear the Customers & Public in general towards B&Q He deserves much credit for his time & trouble helping myself & my wife out of a bit of a quandary, I am 75 my wife 74 we were glad of his help.

Honestly I have never had such shocking service , bath and taps on display for promotion... no baths or taps available, none on line, cant find anything similar, then cant extend the promotion to cover the out of stock time difference .. honestly what a mess b & Q really get your shit together. Poor staff sooooo frustrating

Purchased on lune product turns out BQ go to mkt place (similar to Amazon) I pay then get nothing no product seller not contactable cannot get refund absolute joke don't even deserve one star

Was fine until they had received payment then when my mrs took not well they have delivered half a kitchen damaged worktops that they won’t replace an absolute idiot of a manager that is a power Geek and just very unpleasant and the kitchen designer missed out units and a washing machine on the plans DO NOT BUY A KITCHEN FROM THESE CLOWNS

I was a customer adviser at the new B&Q Kircalday branch in Scotland. I had to resign due to ill health but in the year that I was employed I enjoyed my work very much, which led me to write a poem for every group meeting on the morning of each shift. They were all written round the training at that time and I don't know if your training team would like a copy of the 21 poems that I have.
