We had no power on our property, so we called 105. An hour later, the National Grid arrived. They located the problem using their devices, dug a few holes, fixed a broken cable, filled the holes, and cleared away any leftover debris. I didn't even realise they'd been here! They put in a lot of effort to get us back on the grid. Many thanks, everyone!
We experienced an electrical issue pertaining to the isolation switch situated between the consumer unit and the metre, which seems to be a murky area in terms of accountability. Following a day of chaos (no heat, light, or power, etc.), while waiting for electricians, they were informed that their work wouldn't begin until the main fuse was pulled by the power company. After receiving my call, National Grid responded in 90 minutes and resolved the issue entirely in 30 minutes. Fantastic service—a welcome change of pace!
