Is honesty the best policy ?

As one of the many people who were made unemployed by Corona Virus, i was in a situation where myself wife and two young children had to move out of my accommodation and also had my cars repossessed by the bank.

the financial situation has been terrible and job in aviation have been few and far between but not for want of trying. After a few unsuccessful months of no new jobs i decided that i would do some van driving ! This finally happened in August. Since that time i have been working very happily with Royal Mail Parcelforce and enjoyed the totally different style of work.

But it seems there is a darker side to Parcel Force / Royal Mail which i had certainly scene in the press recently in regards to mistreatment of employees and accusations of fraud. Of course that is at the higher end of things but maybe it runs more deeply

Having completed my first month with them i had often been told i was doing well and had a high % drop off amount. I think this was due to the fact that i valued what i was doing and valued PArcelFOrce.

Anyway, this is where the true colours of the company shine through and without going into too much detail, as I am saving that for my legal case, i had a very minor accident which resulted in some minor damage to someone's gate post and a cracked light on the back of the van. This happened in very strange circumstances as well and really could have happned to anyone and it goes without saying that the moment it happened i reported it to the base i was working out of. On return to the office i gave all the information and went home as normal. The following day i drove the 20 miles to the base to continue my work and immediately detected that there was something amiss and was told to go and see the manager where i was told to leave the building and i wouldnt be able to work for parcel force anymore?

so is this really what a company should do to its employess. There is also a lot more behind this including van upkeep, training (or lack of it ) any many other issues but i will save those for my case.

Very sad that what i thought represented Great Britain and under the flag of Royal mail, should actually treat its employees like that.

Anyway, i am now left with out employment again and perhaps will have more DRIVE to get back up in the air again if you will pardon my pun.

You would wonder what the large customers of Parcel force would think about the treatment of their employees. I certainly will always be looking for a different option !

Today is 23rd November 2020 my two parcels from USA have been stuck in Coventry international hub since 23rd October 2020. I’ve posted them supporting paperwork and emailed them supporting paperwork several times and still my parcels have not been released!! Customer services are as much use as a chocolate tea pot

REALLY UPSET> Booked two parcels with Parcel Force 48 hour express on the 9th Dec 2020. One arrived but the other one is still lost in the system today the 19th Dec 2020. I have had two emails both telling me different things; one that I posted it with normal Royal Mail, when I have the receipt in front of me, and one that is has been lost in a depot. I went with parcel force to stop this kind of thing happening and I am REALLY VERY UPSET.

 by Kate Green

I posted a parcel with ParcelForce 48EXPRESS on the 9th December 2020. It was picked up from my local post office and scanned as such on the 11th Dec 2020 at 13.32 and then all tracking and apparently knowledge of the parcel went dead. Parcel Force have since, advised me to make a claim, then once making a claim have told me it is my local post offices fault despite the parcel force tracking showing very clearly the driver picked up the parcel. They are now stating that it is lost in Royal Mail and refusing to process my claim. This is rubbing salt into already very disgruntled wounds. WHAT A DISGRACE>

Pretty upset with Parcel Force. I know we are all in unprecedented and difficult times and the pressure on all delivery companies is very intense, but they seem to be trying to blame just about everyone else but themselves since they lost my parcel on the 9th Dec, in order to delay or deter me from pursuing my rightful 'paid for' guarantee and compensation. Not a happy customer
